WAS AWESOME! Never mind the fact that I pretty much only went for ONE thing, which happens to be a seiyuu by the name of Morikawa Toshiyuki. ::insertfangirlscream:: Seriously, there is precious little I fangirl about, and even then mine is pale by fangirling standards, but Morimori!? Heck yes.
( Start fangirling...now. )

Nothing "official" but I wanted to use prompts to assist my writing (read: Kessai is a lazy ass) That, and I think the goals I set for my fics are too broad =__=

LOL Holy shit, I love this game. Honda is such a dork...the megane!katsuya ending with him is hilarious. Not just in the game but in the dramas as well. From the "junjou wa naosanai" and the way he sulked about the date to the way he announced the "shoubu" >___< One fandisc is not enough -___-;

I love this fandisc >___<
So I played through the Kichiku MEgane R fandisc and omg. I absolutely adore the Megane!Saeki x Katagiri story. It's so mind-numbingly sweet and *wow* I love how Katsuya is still perverted ala his megane persona but takes such care of Katagiri's feelings. And the ending... I won't spoil it, but OMG SO SWEET! I still ROFLMAO at Saeki's thoughts in the beginning...and whenever he decides to sekuhara Minoru...
That this has sparked another round of BL gaming is irrelevant -____-
Edit: Katagiri makes a good wife ^__^

LOL!! Just watching some game clips on niconico and - I WANT THIS GAME!

LOL I first picked this for the seiyuu (Ootsuka also does Gwendal in Kyou Kara Maou) and I ended up laughing so hard, I woke my little sister. The series itself would have been a little better if they had lengthened the story, but the real lol moment came right at the end of the second volume: when Akihide's son confesses and the pair have a little battle over which is better - youth or technique. Actually, I really only like the lead-up to that scene where Keigo very excitingly asks Yoshiki if he and his dad look alike, and exclaims how similar he looks to the young Akihide. ^___^ It was funnier in the drama, I swear!

So I was thinking I should post once in a while, maybe? Still sitting on that BardoxKonoe fic, and now I'm sitting on a ConYuu one (and plotting to find some way to make it a YuuCon). Bought a TON of doujin with prettypretty pictures. Maybe I'll scan some and make a decent layout ^___^ Yeah right. Umuu yeah ::feels a little creative::

Lol. I love how Usami totally reverses their situations + makes Misaki a lot more compliant. I mean, it is for a BL series after all. Right? >___

So RL has taken me completely. Between finding a new job + dealing with the old one, I find that inspiration to dabble in the few fandoms that I dabble in to be lacking. Butbutbut! That has all changed! I decided, on a whim, to re-download Kyou Kara Maoh and boy did I get sucked in fast~! I had watched a few episodes back when it was first released as an anime, and I do like Matsumoto Temari's illustrations, but the series never really struck me as terribly interesting. Especially with the canon Wolfram!Yuuri engagement thing. But I digress. What really hooked me this time around was that it's absolutely hilarious~! The cast of characters are all amazing Yuuri is adorable and naive and strong-willed (read stubborn) and I love him. And, of course, I tend to latch on to certain characters, Conrad is always by his side. I love how the series is consistent with Conrad's unwavering loyalty, not only to his heika, but to Yuuri ::insert fannish squeal:: Anyways, thanks to this anime, I have fallen into a downward spiral - into BL and fandom - which I had abandoned temporarily. Naturally, it has also led to me re-listening to drama CDs and (re)playing BL games...
Oh, fate, what a cruel hand you have dealt. ^_^ Of course, there's nothing to be done for this, other than to give into the inevitable, right?

I've been wanting to play this game ever since I got into BL games, and now I can finally play it~!!!
The story starts out with our protagonist, Sorato, waking up to a normal day which turns out to be anything but. He wakes up feeling wierd, imagines he's hearing voices inside his head, his parents won't talk to him, in fact it seems like they can't hear him at all! Then a shinigami appears and tells him he's dead?! To top it all off, he loses all his memories on his way to heaven.
Looks like fun~!

Sometimes it just feels like the world is passing you by and there's nothing you can do to stop it. What's worse is that even the people around you pass you by; some pulling, some pushing, some just waving as they go. I have this weird feeling, like I wanna cry. But that would be pointless and retarded, and I really don't feel like crying just, maybe, giving up? I don't know. And then I go back to my little world of yaoi and everything is right again for those few hours before crashing back down to reality, and the weight of responsibility and what it means to be an "adult" just crushes me.
Damn, that was emo. But I feel better now. LJ is good for something~!

And now he can only write guy's names~! Ahahaha! It's like a hentai version of the death note. I love it!

Tahahaha, I was listening to Niwa's version of the third drama. Niwa's such an idiot. They're looking for Saionji cause the island's queen has switched places with him and Niwa asks Omi if he's noticed something different about the Queen. Like, you know, if his chest has suddenly become bigger. Except Niwa uses a sound effect "paahn" and I was laughing so loudly. Omi just brushes him off like the idiot he is and I fell in love with the King.

Been a while, huh?
Kingdom Hearts II kinda disappoints. And by 'disappoints', I mean 'has less slash potential than I thought it would'. Because, as everyone knows, I judge games based on merit of slash and slash alone. (I'm kidding. The characters need to be hot too.) For all those AxelxRoxas fans out there, I have no idea what you're talking about. I see potential, yes, but not the full-blown relationship thing you got going on there in fandom. Kingdom Hearts itself is so mind-numbingly gen (no Riku wanting Sora is NOT canon) that fans will pounce on anything. Mmmm, I love me my subtext.
No, Kingdom Hearts is not the game that is eating my life. That distinction would have to go to Final Fantasy XII. I have logged more hours on that one game alone than I hae on both Kingdom Hearts games combined. And now, I'm going through for the replay. It's never happened before, and it's happening now for Final Fantasy XII. Gameplay, in my opinion, is awesome. I don't understand purists - you don't need a turn-based battle system for it to be a Final Fantasy (all you need are hot bunny women and androgynous male leads). It also steps away from the theme of 'nature' that has dominated the plot for many other Final Fantasies and moves toward conflict in power and resolution. Turns away (though admittedly not very far - what would FF be without magick?) from the profound to focus on individual struggles on a relatively smaller scale. I like that.
Plus, I feel motivated to write fanfiction. That only happens for, like, boy's love games -___- Not only that, I ship almost ALL pairings, het and non. How rare is that? The only pairing I will not touch? VaanxPenelo. Of course, my favorite character is Vaan. Mock if you must, but he represents a lot more to all the 'big players' than he's given credit for. Since he's my favorite character, all my favorite (OTP, if you will) pairings involve him.

So I finished the parts I wanna play, and ::hearts:: I must say, I really liked:
Megane-Katsuya x Katagiri - I'm telling you, that desperate oyaji complex, it's a winner.
Midou x Normal-Katsuya - Oh, my. I didn't like it so much when the tables were turned (the m-Katsuya end was like wha?), but this, I like. A lot more than I very rightly should. Katsuya is so genuinely kind and caring. I get really caught up with the story and characters ::snerk::, so that whole 'shower confession scene' (no H, surprisingly enough) really got me. Plus, Katsuya is so easily flustered, it's nice to see him beg. ::evil grin:: All I needed, was for Katsuya to collapse like Midou did in the opposite route, and watch as Midou is caught off-balance playing nurse to his kitten.
Honda x Katsuya & Katsuya x Honda - Permutations of the same couple but, because of the megane aspect, completely different relationships. I like the normal-Katsuya end because it seems like a really stable and loving relationship. I like the megane-Katsuya end because things have really changed for both of them. Honda's a little hot-headed, but I think normal-Katsuya balances that out very nicely. But I think that Katsuya will always keep certain aspects of his megane persona very close. Watch out, Honda~!
I didn't care much for Taichi. That guy is a pretty horny, kinda wierd, little yakuza princeling. I think that normal-Katsuya was just as surprised as I was at his reaction to what happened between him and megane-Katsuya at the restaurant. Milk play, wha? I'd rather his 'good end' be him staying in the yakuza business and making Katsuya his woman. Then, all the members would call him 'ane', and I'd laugh. Sure, let him have his little music stint in America, and then return after his father's death to run the family business.
I didn't even try Akita.
Oh my, Kichiku Megane, you are so full of win.

Oh, man. How cold this NOT be a good thing? If you're not familiar with the plot, the main protagonist, Katsuya Saiki, is a timid man but unleashes his 'true personality' when he puts on these special glasses given to him by the mysterious MR. R. In other words, he switches from unconfidant uke to super-confidant seme. It has hot written all over it.
Let's see... Salarymen - (come on, everyone knows they're so cute in their semi-designer suits) check~! Megane - (moe factor to the max!) check~! Multiple endings - (OMG, 31!?)check~! Oyaji - ('cause I like me those cute oyaji complexes) check~!
I think I've found a new way to spend my gaming time~
So far, I've finished Katagiri's "good route" (when do I ever go for anything but the good ending?). Oooh, that was good. I think I'll actually play through most of the good endings for each character - and install the save file for the others. I like older partners, so that little Akita will probably be delegated to save file status and maybe Taichi too. We shall see.
Right now, I'm going after a seme!Honda, after which, I will try for an uke!Honda (read: glasses time~!)

I've seen an American Eyeshield 21 and he's a huge black guy.
What? Oh. Clarification. Right. I was watching tv and there's this commercial for some Nike product. It's a football game, complete with close-up crotch shots and intense focus shots. Not knowing a heck of a lot about football, I notice that their main running back wears the number 21. Being the manga geek that I am, my first thought is Eyeshield! Upon which, I notice that the man is, in fact, wearing an eyeshield. As he runs lithely down the field towards the goal, I burst into laughter. Oh, Nike. If that was purposeful, I will love thee. It probably wasn't, but hey, we can't all win.

Okay, so this is a belated post. I got the book two days ago, I finished the book the same day (along with the Half-Blood Prince, which I hadn't read yet) and have been stewing about it ever since. Yes, this is a mini-rant. Not nearly as long or detailed as my friend's scathing criticism of the most recent movie (or the anal retentive attention to detail or lack thereof). Just a couple of complaints, really.
Firstly, let me get this out of the way ::vomit:: Here I was crossing my fingers and praying to the powers-that-be that there would be relatively little angsty teen relationship melodrama. Fat chance, that. Harry covets Ginny, what?::blinks:: And Tonks marrying Lupin and having a frackin' kid!? Where the hell did that come from? Tonks is all ::blushblush:: and crushes on Remus until he gives in and accepts her love. Uh, no? And that's about the point where I lose all ability to form coherent thought and my brain breaks. I'll grudgingly give fans Ron/Hermione. But, geez, J.K. TIMING IS IMPORTANT! None of that *at the end of all things, one last kiss* crap. No! Bad, J.K., bad! And, really? If she hadn't made Harry so retardedly fixated on Ginny, I'd say Harry/Hermione was more probable. I heard that J.K. didn't wan fans running amok with her characters, so she 'ended' everything. How else can you explain two marriages, a kid, and EVERYONE pairing up nicely right before the end. Don't even get me started on that "Nineteen years after" postface shit. Not everyone needs to get married and have seventeen little kids to send off to Hogwarts together. Their 'friendly' banter only made me want to puke more. Hell, even Draco's there sending his little Scorpion off to consort with the five hundred Potters and Weasleys running around the train (though, of all the people, he's the one I'd expect to be pressured into marriage). The bitter taste in my mouth still lingers.
Yes, it would be nice to know where people are after the novel proper ends. No, I do not want to see little Potters or Weasleys. The actual descriptions of what they're doing seemed really patchy and too 'thrown together last-minute' for my taste. If there were kids, I'd rather have them being briefly mentioned when the three friends meet over a glass of firewhiskey to fill each other in on the goings-on of their lives. Really, really would have preferred it.
None of my other complaints are quite as vocal, because I am a simple person. I take storyline, plots, character knowledge/reasoning, and dialogue at face value. As such, I was able to enjoy this book. Until things started happening. I don't really understand why Harry became the seventh Horcrux. I don't remember when Draco came to be the true posessor of the Ultimate-Destroy-All Wand. What the hell happened in that white abyss?
Criticism aside, I rather enjoyed the book. Definately not one of my favorite series, but entertaining nonetheless. If it were a subject less tired than wizard schools (which, coincindentally, only since the publishing and sucess of the first novels, has become a tired subject. Please stop.) I probably would not have finished this series. As it is, I did, and it's done. It is not a journey worth repeating (unless it's for the sake of writing this little crossover that's been running around my head), and it's not one that I'm particularly proud of, but it's there. I've come, I saw, I conquered, and all that's left is to let it go.
Incindentally, mentioning fanfiction. There is one thing that I've learned about Harry Potter fanfiction. That is: I don't want to read Harry Potter fanfiction. EVER. I'm sure there are good ones out there, but all I've seen is crap (what a happy coincidence). And I'm not up to wading through piles of muck just to get at the one or two gems that may end up slipping through my fingers because of a retarded title or lame summary. Generally, Harry Potter, your fandom fails (though sometimes, it fails in a good way).

And, of course, by 'us' I mean 'me'. *sigh* Sometimes I think things are moving too fast - like right now. Even though, really, I'm just wasting my time and letting it idly pass by. What am I going to do? The voice in my head screams 'finish KH II' 'Finish writing that BardoxKonoe fic!' 'finish something, anything, that you've started in the past bajillion years!' All at the same time. I have my own peanut gallery, it seems -___-
And what does all this lead to? Nothing. Other than the strong sense of urgency that I really need to do something with my life. *trots off to quite possibly do something productive*
